An Expanding Global Town
A world-wide urban center has progressed outside of it's domestic city group, and is defined as today a member of an international global strategy. It is becoming a focus of political dominance, world business and marketing and sales communications, a leader in banking and finance options. As such, it is going to draw in world night-life, stage and athletic tournaments, and become the head office of both international organizations and private establishments.
With this unique standard, Columbus is adequately on the route to becoming a transnational destination, provided its mixed economic climate which is an interaction of preparation, insurance companies, medical and modern technology. Although rated as being America's 15th largest sized city along with the 32nd greatest metropolitan territory, these distinctions develop little regarding the "emergent global city" category. Columbus' economic system is formed around an appealing blend of market sectors and products and services:
Being capitol, Columbus has a significant governing administration environment having federal, state, county and urban agencies churning out the sole largest supply of occupations in the vicinity;
The Ohio State University alone admitting around 50,000 university students (not to mentiongrade school and high school institutions, as well as a college) indicate work for underpinning solutions as well as teachers and training facilities (e.g., residential lodging, food services, laundry and retail shopping, entertainment, etc.).
Columbusis home office connected with several key insurance providers which include Nationwide Mutual .
Columbus hosts McGraw-Hill plus Chemical Abstracts Service, that happen to be amid the world's biggest marketers of textbooks, magazines and other details
Internet pioneer Compuserve is still situated in the town though it had been bought out by America online. The local administration is additionally heading an attempt to improve Columbus' hi-tech structure.
It is the company headquarters of Limited as well as that of Wendy's , in addition to several other countrywide restaurant organizations.
The different commercial activities in Columbus support a wide range of cultural and leisure events (once more, supporting the 'global cities notion)
The town boasts the Wexner Center for the Arts, Center of Science and Industry, and others like the Jack Nicklaus Musuem.
The world-recognized Columbus Zoo and Aquarium showcasing its variety of creatures and species of fish is available here. The director , Jack Hanna, is often a popular visitor on The Tonight Show and the Late Show. Organic Gardening magazine has additionally cited Columbus to be a "Very good Gardener City" due to the amount of town gardens along with many farmers marketplaces in the area;
Distinguished theatrical organizations including Opera Columbus, Ballet Metropolitan, the Columbus Symphony Orchestra among others reside in the city. Much more compared to performers, however, Columbus contains an assortment of locations to support performances - many of these established just lately as the city's economy increased.
These as well as other trends provide the foundation for the city's designation as an "surfacing" multinational metropolis; there is no doubt in few people's thoughts (particularly the city's inhabitants) that Columbus will no longer be 'emergent' - but will end up as a totally understood international town in the equivalent class as London , uk, Paris and New york city.

The Great Global Warming Debate
We can't say for certain how much the globe may be warming up though, how much is down to human activities versus natural cycles, or whether these movements in global temperature would be mostly good or mostly bad for the majority of people.
Recently in an online think tank one think tanker was berrated for placing a post in the Global Warming area of the website on a Chinese Flooding event which washed away 90 people and in another province killed 117 people.
Though Global Warming doesn't seem that bad, with many people's image of it being that of a planet wrapped soundly in a warm blanket, it's something that needs to be taken seriously and it's something that could greatly hinder, and destroythe future.
In a nutshell, Global Warming is the gradual increase of the temperature of the earth's lower atmosphere. Basically global warming is the increase of the earth’s surface temperature due to chemicals in the atmosphere. Some Global Warming Alarmists think it is too late to stop the effects of mankind on our atmosphere and that these undesired effects will cause the triggering of super storms, freak weather and catastrophic situations. In order to control and avoid the effects of global warming we must first agree with a notion that it is occurring, and take some steps to end or even reduce it. Maybe the whole world needs to rethink the level playing field rules over again and then we can get together and talk about Global Warming, CO2 emissions and the Kyoto Treaty or a more realistic version of it.
Luckily most of the Global Warming ideas are not based on very solid scientific evidence, but our Planet is going through a climate change cycle and this cycle, which is actually caused by a lot of inter-related cycles are warming areas our Planet among other things. There is no actual scientific data that global warming is caused by anything other than ordinary, natural climatic cycles. Some Global Warming alarmists are now thinking it is time to invest their money in House Boat Stocks and pick out a big ship to live on?
So the talk of climate change rages on and whilst I see no end in site to it the doomsdayers will have you agree the sky is falling ,remember chicken little. So get yourself some scientific education on the subject because if you dont you'll end up becoming one of them.

What Causes Global Warming?
For several decades, scientists have wondered what causes global warming. They looked at a number of things such as the natural cycles and events that influence the climate. Some things they learned that causes global warming include:
- Methane gas release in the areas of the wetlands and arctic tundra. Methane is known as a greenhouse gas that results in heat bring trapped inside the atmosphere.
- Climate change cycle, which tends to occur every 40,000 years.
- Lots of volcano activity causes an increase of greenhouse gases.
- Sunspots
And, while they’ve looked at the above events and cycles, they noted that the pattern and amount of global warming cannot be explained by them alone. Scientists could only explain that the pattern included human’s effect on the greenhouse gases. After all, the human population is growing rapidly, which means they’re raising more animals for food and have regular growth in technology.
Now, scientists from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (or IPCC), meet every several years to check on recent scientific findings and put together a report that summarizes everything they’ve learned about global warming.
Greenhouse Gases Causes Global Warming
Now, one thing scientists have learned on what causes global warming is that there are several kinds of greenhouse gases responsible for the problem. And, humans are largely responsible for these greenhouse gases, emitting them off in a number of ways. Most greenhouse gases come in the form of fossil fuel combustion such as electricity production, cars and factories. The primary cause of global warming, however, is carbon dioxide, which is also known as CO2.
So what causes global warming? Some other causes include methane from agriculture and landfills, fertilizers’ nitrous oxide, gases used in industrial processed and refrigeration and deforestation, which leads to CO2.
When people drive their cars, heat homes with either natural gas or oil or use electricity from plants that use coal, they release more heat-trapping gases like CO2 into the environment. Deforestation means there are fewer trees and when there are fewer trees planted, it means less carbon dioxide being changed over into usable oxygen.
The heat-trapping abilities of the different greenhouse gases vary. Some tend to trap more heat than carbon dioxide does. One molecule of methane generates over 20 times the warming of a CO2 molecule. Nitrous oxide is nearly 300 times stronger than carbon dioxide. Chlorofluorocarbons, which are banned in most of the world due to causing the degradation of the ozone layer, can trap heat more than a thousand times more than carbon dioxide. However, since their concentration is lower than CO2, they don’t add a lot of warmth to the environment.
When scientists get together, they tend to converse about the different greenhouse gases and how their equivalent amount to carbon dioxide. Since the early 1990s, annual emissions of CO2 has risen to around six billion metric tons or a 20 percent increase.
Bear in mind that in the industrial age, carbon dioxide emissions increased by approximately 31 percent. And, during the same time, there was a 151 percent increase in environmental methane, which came from agricultural activities like growing rice or raising cattle.
What causes global warming is the increase of greenhouse gases because more heat becomes trapped in the atmosphere and is not able to escape into space. This rise in the amount of trapped heat will lead to changes in the environment, altering weather patterns, speeding up species extension, influencing the seasons, causes coastal flooding and resulting in more severe storms.
There is absolutely no doubt that greenhouse gases have a direct impact on what causes global warming. So, it’s up the humans all around the world to ban together and reduce the release of greenhouse gases to save the environment…and the world!

Global Warming Debate Over Heats at Online Think Tank
If you think the media is heavy handed on the Global Warming doom and gloom scenarios getting everyone heated up then you should have seen the temperatures rise in our Online Think Tank the other day over the issue after the Paris meeting of all the atmospheric scientists.
Unbelievable the energy and heat coming off these debates. Folks are passionate on both sides indeed. One of our Think Tank members who has been studying this at length for many years stated;
"I have read hundreds of white papers and many hundreds of pages of research. And not just on what Global Warming Alarmists present and the theory that mankind’s emission of CO2 is causing all this, but rather all the research of inter-related information too such as:
SuperPlumes
Volcanic (undersea and on land)
China Dust Storms, Solar flares
Sunspots, Solar Cycles
Radiation, Pole Axis shifts
Wildfires
Pollution
Reefs
Hurricanes
Weather
HAARP
Droughts
Ocean Currents
Ice
Ozone
Ocean Surface Temps
Urban Heat
Space Radiation and Weather
Theories of Earth's Core Spin
Plate tectonics, Geo-Thermal Reading
And there is so much to all this that simply stating that man's pollution CO2 and other greenhouse gases from industrialized pollution is causing climate ambient temperature increases."
He went on to say that this planet heats and cools in cycles and there are inter-related cycles, which cause peaks just like rogue waves in the ocean and it is no big deal.
Then with all that said everyone in our Online Think Tank made it clear they are against Unnecessary Pollution and they are for efficiency with energy, transportation and usage.
A few just cringe at this over zealousness of the alarmists, even go so far as to guestion their integrity, research and linear applications of their observations in their attempt to prove themselves right to further collect more research dollars to their centers and they protest.Others in the Online Think Tank stacked up their evidence, collected research papers and said; “Oh yah? Refute This!” As you can see each side has a lot at stake and perhaps that is what is heating up our planet, all that human intent, passion and energy? I certainly hope this article is of interest and that is has propelled thought. The goal is simple; to help you in your quest to be the best in 2007. Call Center Outsourcing: Best manner to expand your global business
In moderate terms, outsourcing just means sourcing from the exterior. However, in business language, outsourcing refers to hiring a third-party firm or assembly of persons to do work that your corporation can or else not do. This may occur because you might not have the manpower or resources at your disposal. It often happens that outsourcing is done abroad as labor abroad tends to not only be much cheaper but more experts as well. For instance India not only has cheap labor but also has one of the highest English speaking populations outside of the US.
By means of outsource call centers you obtain to benefit as of being free from the organizing nightmares that are often connected with call centers in the US, and instead you can place your trust in an knowledgeable outsource call center services source, who can offer you with the highest level of quality assurance and actually work diligently to increase your bottom line and your return on investment by proactively running your campaigns in the mainly well-organized manner and skillfully training and monitoring their reps to boost client fulfillment, increase faithfulness and skyrocket retention rates.
Expertise in English.
Reduced operational and maintenance costs in conditions of staff training, services, and other schedule functionality is another large benefit. The similar theory applies to in general operational costs: it’s just cheaper to function a complete subdivision from India than from the United States.
Call center outsourcing services includes inbound voice services, outbound marketing services, technical support services, administration and back office support, consulting and case studies. Such centers do their most excellent in employing outside teaching specialists to hold out training sessions for the employees. The recruits of the call center that provides outsourcings are thus out in the open to the newest methodology, models and mode of thinking.
Experience Global Education With Strategic International Alliances
Advancements in global technology and increasing interdependence of the world economies have contributed to the rapid globalization of higher education. The dawn of 21st century, coincided with globalization and international business revolution, has metamorphosed the management education milieu. Management and business education is no longer confined within national borders. Today's business world draws its professional work force from every corner of the globe. And this is how the need for strategic alliance extends its scope in the arena of business and management education.
Strategic alliance with international business schools is an excellent way to gain competitive edge in the globalized business environment. It also helps in developing sustainable competitive advantages materializing from the issues of quality, purpose and responsibility in the new across-borders educational sphere.
Besides benefiting the business schools, forming international strategic alliances can be highly advantageous for the management students. Diversity in terms of student's nationalities, experience and background helps them in gaining international exposure and knowledge. It also improves their foreign language skills which prepares them for exciting careers in international business. Besides classroom interaction, outside social activities and student clubs bring together the students of different views which help them in widening their mental horizons regarding career options. Even after the completion of studies, it leaves them with a supportive network of colleagues that span around the globe.
Forging ties with international business and management institutions also play a vital role in strengthening relationships among governments, economies and businesses across the world. This is the reason why the trend of global management institutions is popularizing day by day. HULT is one such international business school which offers its academic programmes in 5 different countries around the globe. London grad school is one of the leading institutes for higher education these days. Besides UK MBA, it offers various other programmes including London masters multimedia and London career digital marketing. HULT provides a truly globalized approach to all its courses and students undertaking them.
Strategic international alliances for business schools equip students with truly international management skills which is the utmost requirement to excel in the globalized business world today.
Global Warming
Global warming is becoming a serious issue. The world is starting to see a quick rise in temperatures everywhere. When temperatures rise, the sea level also starts to rise because of the fact that the ice around the world melts with the higher temperatures. With more water taking over on earth, and warmer climates, this is causing many negative effects in the world. It is important that everyone knows what it is, and the effect that it has on our atmosphere. It is also important that we all know what things that we do that contribute to global warming and ways that we can prevent any further damage to the atmosphere.
1) One of the main contributors to global warming is greenhouse gases. One of the most devastating greenhouse gases includes carbon dioxide. When natural gas is burnt, it raises the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. The same thing happens when oil is burnt, as well as coal.
It is important that we reduce the amount of these types of substances being burnt. Additionally, gasoline that is used in vehicles and other types of equipment that is powered by gasoline contributes to the amount of carbon dioxide that is released into the atmosphere.2) Many industries, specifically those that are agricultural and electrical, contribute to various types of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. In turn, these gases cause the issue of it to become more serious. It is important that we try to purchase products locally and avoid using more electricity than we need to use. If we do this, we can reduce the effects of global warming.
3) When we cut down the trees in the world, we are causing global warming to become more of an issue. Trees are used to create many paper products and are also cleared away for various types of land development projects.
We should try to find products that are used by recycled products instead of products that are freshly cut. If we do this, more of the trees in the world will be saved and there will be less greenhouse gases being sent into the atmosphere.4) The more electricity that we use, the more that we contribute to the greenhouse gases that enter the atmosphere and lead to global warming. It is important that we try to use products that are considered energy efficient and we learn to cut things off when they are not in use. This will reduce the amount of harmful substances that are required to burn to provide us with electricity. If these things are reduced, then the atmosphere will see less greenhouse gases. If there are less greenhouse gases, then the progression will slow drastically.
5) It is important that we convince the people around us to preserve and protect our environment. We can do this by informing them of ways that they can help reduce the effects of global warming. This is the most important step of all when it comes to reducing greenhouse gases.
Global Warming And The Rising Sea Level
In 2008, the effects of the rising sea level will be more obvious than ever, as global warming moves to the forefront of international concern. Especially, to the United States who has seen disaster.
When Hurricane Katrina hit the coastal city of New Orleans in 2005, the world watched with horror the devastation it created in an American city. As global warming continues, unforeseen levels of natural disaster will become increasingly common, while erratic weather patterns will plague our natural seasons. It is not a coincidence that one of the warmest years ever recorded all occurred between 1995 and 2006.
And scientists predict the rest of 2007 and 2008 will be even hotter. The extreme levels of carbon emissions released by human activities have reached all time high, a shocking 379 parts per million in 2005- the highest amount ever in the last 650,000 years! No wonder heat is getting trapped at incredible rates in our atmosphere.
So what does all this mean? As the earth's temperature continues to rise, our natural reserves of ice caps and glaciers continue to melt.
Scientists are already alarmed at the unprecedented rate at which the world's frozen bodies are melting, from Greenland and the Antarctic to the glaciers of the Himalayas. As more ice sheets and glaciers melt, more water gets added to the seas and oceans around the world, increasing their level in general. But it is also natural for water to expand upon warming. So not only will the sea levels rise, its waters will in fact take up more space as it heats. The large ice sheets have also traditionally worked as reflectors of the sun's heat. But as the size of these sheets gets smaller, instead of reflecting the heat, it begins to observe it and melts ever faster.
Of course, this a disaster for the world's ecology, it has already forced Polar bears to become an endangered species, but just as devastating for humans too.
In India, scientists have already recorded an annual rise in sea levels at a rate of 3.14mm in Bay of Bengal, and as much as 10mm in the Khulna region of Bangladesh. It's the same case in coastal towns and cities across the world. Its evidences have become clear in the US too. While the edges of Mangroove forests are already dotted with submerged forests in the Bermuda, as much as one third of the marsh at Chesapeake Bay's Blackwater Natural National Wildlife Refuge is gone!Major cities like San Francisco, Manhattan, to Mumbai are all at risk. Increasing sea levels will not just mean loss and erosion of land, but also more frequent occurrences of super hurricanes such as the one that drowned New Orleans or cause the Tsunamis of 2004.
Another humanitarian crisis that could be caused by the rising sea level is that they will also create an acute shortage of fresh water reserves on land. Scientists have confirmed that at this rate the Himalayan ecology in South Asia will now almost certainly face extreme floods followed by extreme droughts. And hundreds of millions of people in the region will experience water and food shortage.
When global warming was first discussed, it seemed like the consequences would be in many life times later. But today, within our own life time, the possibility of witnessing the havoc cause by global warming and the rising sea level has become distinctly clear.
Global Warming in the Antarctic
After 40 years of being away I returned to the Antarctic in 2005. Even with over 98 percent of Antarctica being ice, global warming has started to change the fifth largest contient. In the 1960s I had worked on the Antarctic Peninsula as a meteorologist, and I drove huskies. (Environmental concerns that the Antarctic-born huskies were an alien species meant that by 1994 all the huskies were removed from the Antarctic). A major change has been the increase from a few hundred tourists in the 1960s to the present number of over 30,000 Anatractic visitors annually. But the greatest change has been the effects of global warming. Comparing my meteorological records from forty years ago to those of the present has added to the evidence that changes have occurred in Antarctica.
The effects are not immediately obvious to Antarctic visitors even though the temperature has increased by 2.5 degrees C over the last few decades.
There are still masses of ice, glaciers, and frigid waters along the Antarctic Peninsula. I had spent a year at Adelaide Island in Marguerite Bay forty years ago with no fur seals, now they lazed around on the rocks of the closed down base. In the 1960s the seals lived 700 kilometers to the north. Now they are spread all along the Antarctic Peninsula. In some breeding areas there is concern that the huge numbers, now in the millions, will destroy other Antarctic flora and fauna habitats. The increase in temperature means less sea ice. Less sea ice has meant less krill larvae, (krill are the shrimp-like creatures that most Antarctic marine life depend on for food). This affects the more southerly Adelie penguins' feeding habits. The more northerly gentoo penguins are surviving the increased temperatures, though some recent warm summers with temperatures over 8 degrees C has resulted in penguin heat exhaustion.
The only two flowering Antarctic plants, the hair grass and the pearlwort, have increased their range and area.
There are more plants growing, and they are now found as far south as 68 degrees latitude.87% of the glaciers in the Antarctic Peninsula region have retreated in the last fifty years. This rapid change has not been evident for thousands of years. Ice shelves have lost much of their ice; some have now disappeared. Antarctic ice drill cores have shown the fastest and highest jumps in temperature over the last 900,000 years has been in the last 200 years. Human activity has affected not only the temperate and tropical parts of the world, but also the polar areas. The edges of the north and south polar-regions are more vulnerable to change that the zones in between. Global warming is changing our world.

Ah, Global Warming
Most people do not really understand what "Global Warming" is, it is not climate change, rather it is new "buzz-word" created by humans which is defined as human's emission of green house gasses is causing the Earth to heat up. Now you might say that you believe that, but I would ask you why? Why do you believe that? Do you really believe that mankind's CO2 is causing the Earth's ambient temperature and atmosphere to heat up?
Okay, so let's say you do believe this, may I ask why? Is it because you read it somewhere? Or that you heard that some scientists believe this to be the case, or is it because Al Gore received a Nobel prize for a docu-drama depicting catastrophic consequences to human civilization if we continue to all "pollutants" or CO2 to enter the Earth's atmosphere? And have you ever asked yourself why CO2 is a pollutant at all?
Did you know that humankind has been living with and around CO2 for most all of its evolutionary development? Did you know that humans create CO2 when they breathe? If you really want to be carbon neutral, then stop breathing, remove yourself from the planet and vote with your life.
The reality is that this pale blue dot, Planet Earth has been heating up and cooling down for 5.5 Billion Years.
It was doing this before mankind evolved and will continue after we are gone. Trying to stop the Earth's climate cycles is akin to trying to prevent Continental Drift. If you think you are going to stop climate change plus or minus in temperature by driving a smaller car, you are uninformed. It has been estimated that to cool the Planet's Temperature one-degree using wind energy it would take 60 Trillion Dollars and put wind generators everywhere, which could even slow the air circulation and cause heating to boot, no not much, but you get the point.
Sixty Trillion with a Capital "T" is the entire world's GDP put together. And just because you cooled the Planet one-degree does not mean the planet itself might not cool another 5 degrees, so you are not going to change much. In the 1970s and 1980s the scientists said we were going into an Ice Age, now they say we are going to overheat, and of course once upon a time the Earth was the center of the Universe and it was flat!
Perhaps, what I am getting at is humans are so ego-centric that they think everything is about them, it isn't. There is nothing wrong with the planet, perhaps only the people on top. Why do so many people believe in Global Warming? Because the newspapers and TV tells them too, just like it tells them whom to vote for, as folks have surrendered their minds to the media.
But that does not make Global Warming Real. The planet heats and cools all the time, just like there are 50-year drought cycles, 20-year Hurricane Cycles, 22-year Solar Cycles, and Ice Ages, but that does not mean it's due to man. Sometimes multiple cycles hit together, sometimes not, but when they do humans freak out a little and come up with various theories. They choose theories that best fit their political, nationalistic, and religious needs, desires and belief systems.
So what else is new?

Global Warming: Global Devastation
It appears that since 1750 the planet has been gradually warming. This is now thought to be due to human activity - caused by man alone. Amazingly there are still people who doubt that global warming either exists or is caused by man. They insist that such events are "only circumstantial".
They claim that temperatures go up and down and that greenhouse gas levels are much the same. Estimates suggest that summer temperatures in the U.K. could rise by up to five degrees centigrade in the southeast of England. This is predicted by the year 2080 and has been supported by a scientific panel of 2,500 scientists appointed by the United Nations. Areas in sub-Saharan African and parts of the Mediterranean would be even more dry with episodes of droughts.
The effect of global warming will be also that of increasing storms and rainfall and this will be increased in the winter months, especially in Northern Europe.
Many parts of Britain already have very little snow fall and it is thought that snow would be a thing of the past in Britain by 2080. In tropical regions, that already suffer from hurricanes and cyclones, it is thought that these will increase in frequency and intensity. The effect of global warming is also that of increasing sea levels as the polar ice caps melt. Areas such as Bangladesh, which is low lying, plus areas of the African coast would be flooded repeatedly if sea levels rose. It is predicted that it may rise by up to 17 inches in some parts. This would lead to some parts of the world being uninhabitable.
The Great Global Warming Scam
Never a day passes without another scare story about the imminent extinction of some form of wildlife due to global warming. First it was polar bears, now it is penguins. We have all seen the films and photographs depicting the plight of wildlife and potentially mankind. How convenient that it was never mentioned that most of the films and pictures were taken in the summertime when the ice melts naturally. The films of glaciers crashing into the sea is another scare story. I remember seeing films of this sort many years ago.It is a natural phenomena that the moving glaciers meet the unfrozen sea and huge pieces fall off because the sea melts the glacier from below the surface.
In the UK the government decreed that Al Gore's highly political and wildly inaccurate film should be shown in every school without any genuine proof against climate change.
A perfect method of brainwashing our children into believing that it is happening and therefore pass the message on to their parents. The world was warmer in the fifteenth century and what we are experiencing is a natural cycle. Yes CO2 emissions are higher now than several hundreds years ago but there is still no scientific evidence to prove that CO2 emissions are the cause. We are well aware that the rain forests absorb vast quantities of CO2 gas but they can't keep absorbing it for ever. Like everything else you can get too much of a good thing and something has to give. It was discovered by a French scientist that the rain forests release vast quantities of CO2 when they have had their fill.I am totally against de-forestation and the best way to protect them is to pay off the farmers, give them enough to keep them and their villages in comfort.
Instead we are conned into paying more taxes for something that is not happening.
Here in the UK we are the highest taxed nation in the western world, in particular road and fuel taxes. The government wants us out of our cars and into public transport but public transport is more expensive than using our cars, for example: If I take four people in my car on a 30 mile round trip it will cost me £3 or £4, but if I take the same amount of people on a bus for the same distance it will cost over £12. We all have to sit in traffic jams, even with the vast tax revenue the government fails to provide adequate road links to keep traffic moving. They are happy to see us burning gallons of fuel and going nowhere it means we have to fill up our fuel tanks more often. Now they want to build another air terminal at Heathrow which will double the amount of air traffic and get double green tax revenue from the passengers. The latest scam is the carbon trading companies which are growing at a tremendous rate. I will bet my last penny that 95% of the revenue they receive goes on salaries and administration and the remaining 5% on planting trees or some other form of so called saving the planet.
To finalise, do you honestly believe that China, India and other developing nations give a damn about climate change. Their motto is to live for today and worry about tomorrow later and global warming is a myth.
Global Warming- The Worried Heat Of People
Ignoring the poor misguided people who’re saying wrong global warming is just a small sign.
It really happens. Most scientists now agree that because of people’s non-stop thirst for consumption, we are suffering the ever increasing global temperatures.
There is mounting evidence to suggest that the accelerating global population growth combined with a general increase in living standards is placing the Earth's natural systems under an immense strain. Many believe we are at the tipping point right now.
Others would go further and suggest that the tipping point has been and gone. We are now entering a phase in the Earth's history which Al Gore describes in his documentary, "An Inconvenient Truth", as a period of consequences.
In other words we have left it too late. If this is to be believed then we are past the point of no return. The climate is literally going into meltdown with vast swathes of ice sheet plunging into the ever warmer waters.
Here's the big problem. Where once there was ice, the majority of the suns' energy was reflected back out into space. Now that the ice has been replaced by water, the majority of the suns' energy is being absorbed and the seas are warming up at an alarming rate.
The warming of the seas melts the ice sheets more quickly and the problem becomes compounded. This is an exponential problem and it's why the brains behind the computer modelsand predictions are warning the human race of the most dire consequences.
Some predictions warn that vast areas of the Earth's surface will turn to desert. We're seeing the beginnings of this now. This is not theory, it's happening. There could be 100's of millions of people displaced due to desertification and ironically, flooding in other areas.
We're talking migration of human beings on a scale never before witnessed. The problems this will cause worldwide are unimaginable. The warnings are based on evidence from multiple authorities and we, as a species, would do well to recognise the fact that we're the problem.
Unless we all change our ways this obscene gluttony will almost certainly put paid the human race as we know it. The Earth will carry on regardless, make no mistake, but will webe around to see it?
This time we cannot simply "Get out of the kitchen"!

Ceasing Global Warming Is More Simple Than In Your Minds
USA Today recently announced that the terrorism on 9/11 slump, air travel has reached a record high.
An Arbitron study reported that after 2 years, air traveling was a standstill shows that more than 92 million air travelers take two or more trips annually. 17 million, regarding as frequent filers, travel four to nine times a year. Few people give a moment thought to flying for holidays, vacations and business meetings. You need to make the documentary, An Inconvenient Truth on the Earth's climate crisis featuring Al Gore a priority if you haven’t read it.
An Inconvenient Truth emphasizes that we need to wake up to the fact that the U.S. alone is burning through mega gallons of fossil fuel on hundreds of daily flights, which emit megatons of the greenhouse gases that are causing global warming. Just an average personal roundtrip of 1,660 miles consumes enough fuel to release 2,258 pounds of gases into the atmosphere, injecting more than a ton of pollution into the air we breathe.
After watching, An Inconvenient Truth, I hope you are compelled to reconsider holiday, business and leisure plans, finding ways to fly less and travel closer to home. Many also are salving their conscience with another practical option. They are purchasing "Green Tags" to offset the carbon we personally generate when we fly or drive. These modest fees, easily calculated online, directly fund renewable energy sources, like wind and solar power.
Buying one green tag can offset an average air trip for less than .00. We can purchase offsets one trip at a time or for the whole year. Reliable sources include GreenTagsUSA.org and MyClimate.org. Some travel companies take care of this detail when booking a flight and may even match client contributions.
Observers predict that buying Green Tags will become as familiar as recycling and water conversation. Newsweek International has referred to carbon offsets as one of the 'hottest new trends' for travel--just the ticket for a guilt-free trip.
Living holistically includes replenishing not only our mind, body and spirit--it includes replenishing Mother Earth. Let us not forget Mother Earth is our home this time around--if we continue to chop holes in the Mother ship--it is safe to say, we will perish.

Global Warming Explained
Global warming is thought of as one of the biggest threats to world security in modern times, and it is arguably already taking its toll in our weather system. By a combination of natural cyclical progression, and the impact of human behaviour and activity over the last century, the Earth is steadily seeing the effects of the global warming phenomenon. But what exactly is global warming, and exactly what impact could it have on our environment?
Global warming can be defined as an overall gradual increase in world temperature over time. This is measured by averaging Earth and Ocean temperature, and has shown a steady upwards trend over recent decades. Furthermore, it is thought that over the last half a century, this has been a result of human civilisation and industrialisation. One of the major contributors to global warming is what is known as greenhouse gas, which comprises largely of carbon dioxide from general human activity.
Global warming as a process is thought to be highly devastating in terms of its effect on the climate.
'Climate change' is a phrase which is often use in association with global warming, and it has potentially catastrophic consequences for the world in which we live. 'Climate change' also covers global cooling, which can also occur as a result of human activity and greenhouse gases, and reflects a substantial change in the world's climate, which could change our habitat beyond recognition. This could be characterised by unusual weather patterns, resulting in more frequent natural disasters, which could in turn lead to political and social chaos in the decades and centuries to come. There are a number of international political treaties which have been set up to change the progress of global warming, although their tangible upshots still remain to be seen.
Through political cooperation, it is hoped that environmental targets can be met on an international scale, to make a real difference to the environment. However, at a personal level, there is significant scope for helping, rather than hindering the world in which we live, including recycling household waste, and reducing personal carbon emissions.Global warming is arguably one of the biggest threats to human civilisation, and it is something which requires a drastic change in lifestyle to reverse. However, with a personal and political impetus, it is hopeful that the damage done to the planet can be reversed for future generations to enjoy.

Geoengineering as a Solution to Global Warming
Pollution due to carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases which contribute hugely to global warming remains untamed, as international response to calls like the Kyoto Protocol entreating industrialized countries like the US to limit their CO2 emissions remain "grossly disappointing", as Nobel Prize winner Paul Crutzen wrote in an article in 2006 in the journal Climatic Change. Experts estimate that global warming may increase surface temperatures by as much as 6.4 ºC (11.5 ºF) if CO2 levels continue to rise as it does now. This rise in temperature may give rise to any number of situations in the future, all of which will probably have a bad effect on humans and other life forms: greater incidence of Katrina-like storms and extreme weather, extinction of plant and animal species unable to tolerate the heat, rising sea levels that can drown coastal cities, and others.
So, to counter the disastrous effects of global warming, scientists like Crutzen propose very drastic solutions. So what are some of these proposals? Pollute the upper atmosphere with sulfur dust to reflect sunlight. Put small lenses in orbit. Float large white "islands" on oceans. Bury CO2 to the depths of the ocean by lacing the waters with iron. All these mad sci-fi fixes are lumped under the heading of "geoengineering", a new science that promises to negate the effects of global warming really fast while struggling to find a serious audience in the scientific community.
While geoengineering received little attention until Crutzen's paper was published, the idea of deliberately manipulating the atmosphere to suit human needs has been around in the fringes since the beginning of the 20th century.
The warming effect of CO2 emissions on land temperature was explored in 1905; the undesirable effects of CO2 pollution were discussed in more detail in the 1960s, and attempts at weather modification were done much earlier by the former USSR beginning in 1932. Proposals to cool the atmosphere appeared beginning in 1964.In recent decades, the ideas of geoengineering met with considerable and understandable resistance from the scientific community. Geoengineering was deemed too impractical, with results that were insignificant or capable of wrecking more damage to the environment or both. It was only through Crutzen's prominence as an expert in atmospheric chemistry and the persistence of its proponents that geoengineering finally grabbed the spotlight; NASA held a workshop on geoengineering in California on November 2006, and climate scientists convened in Harvard University for a geoengineering conference earlier that same month. And renewed perceptions toward geoengineering are favorable; now, experts generally agree that if the warming gets out of hand and other measures fail, geoengineering may be a good last resort.
So how effective is geoengineering in controlling global warming? Actual small-scale experiments on several proposed methods are yet to be done, but some show promise. Most promising of the proposals is the frequent introduction of tons and tons of sulfur particles into the stratosphere to reflect sunlight back into space, proposed by Crutzen. Computer simulations of the effects of such an action show that stratospheric shading using sulfur could counteract further projected warming indefinitely.
Still scientists show no great eagerness to the idea. Scientists fear that the immediate effects of geo-engineering will lead world leaders to abandon long-range plans to clean the atmosphere of greenhouse gases. Still, scientists who had warmed up to the idea of tweaking the climate concede that geo-engineering must be considered seriously for possible future implementation, in the face of a possibly dire future climate, because at the pace with which current strategies to alleviate global warming are being done geo-engineering could very well be our planet's only hope.
Understanding The Global Warming Myths
The first global warming myth many people hold is that the science of global warming is too uncertain to act on. Nothing could be further from the truth, as scientists are in agreement over the basic facts of global warming, including the fact that global warming is occurring and that human activities, like burning fossil fuels and cutting down forests, intensify global warming's effects on our planet.
The U.S. National Academy of Sciences and 10 other National Academies of Science state that there is clear evidence that global warming is occurring and that nations should take prompt action in the form of cost-effective steps in order to contribute to substantial and long-term reduction in net global greenhouse gas emissions.
Another commonly-held myth is that addressing global warming will hurt the American industry and American workers.
The fact is that a well-designed trading program would harness American ingenuity to decrease heat-trapping pollution cost- effectively and would also give rise to a new carbon economy. Many companies that have already reduced their heat-trapping emissions have learned that they can save money by being more environmentally friendly.
The cost of a comprehensive national greenhouse gas reduction program will depend on the precise emissions targets, the timing for the reductions, and the means of implementing it. An independent MIT study has determined that a modest cap-and-trade system would cost less than per household and would not result in anyone losing his/her employment.
Experience has shown that properly designed emissions trading programs can reduce compliance costs significantly compared to other regulatory approaches; one previous example was the U.S.
acid rain program that helped reduce sulphur dioxide emissions by more than 30% from 1990 levels and cost the industry a fraction of what the government estimated. In addition, a mandatory cap on emissions can lead to technological innovation that can create jobs and wealth. Conversely, if we do nothing until the damage is more extensive, that delay will likely disrupt and severely damage our economy, so it would be wiser and more cost- effective to act now.
A third widely-held global warming myth is the thinking that because water vapour is the most important, abundant greenhouse gas, efforts should be taken to control it instead of carbon dioxide (CO2.)
The fact is, however, that even though water vapour does trap more heat than CO2, global warming nations must focus on controlling CO2 because they can directly affect how much CO2 is in our atmosphere by cutting back and/or eliminating such activities like burning coal, natural gas, and oil, as well as cutting down trees.
The level of water vapour cannot be directly controlled by people because they are determined by temperatures - the warmer the atmosphere, the more water vapour it can hold. Therefore, the more CO2 present in the atmosphere, the warmer the air becomes, which leads to more water vapour in the air. As a result, the key to controlling and reducing water vapour is to control the levels of CO2 people put into the air.
A fourth widely-held belief is that global warming and extra CO2 will be beneficial as they'll reduce cold-related deaths and stimulate crop growth.
The fact is that any positive benefits from extra CO2 in the atmosphere will be far outweighed by damage and disruption.
Even if only the middle range of scientific projections are reached in the future, the effects would have catastrophic effects on many sectors of the economy. Rising seas would inundate coastal communities, contaminate water supplies with salt, and increase the risk of flooding by storm surge. Extreme weather events, like heat waves, droughts, and floods are expected to increase in frequency and severity, which would lead to more loss of life, agriculture, and property.
While higher levels of CO2 can act as a plant fertilizer, most scientists think that this benefit has been overstated in recent years as plants seem to acclimate to the higher levels of CO2 after a few years, thereby nullifying the benefits. In addition, higher levels of CO2 can allow undesirable, weedy species to grow more rapidly, something that is not wanted.
As you can see, believing global warming myths can lead people to actions that will cause more harm to our economies and our planet in the future. That is why it is so important to learn the facts about global warming so that proper actions can be taken in the future to lessen or reverse the effects global warming will have on our economies, societies, and way of life.
Global Warming Prevention
Global warming is an issue that affects everyone who calls anywhere on earth home. We should each make an effort to do what we can do in order to ensure that we are preventing global warming. Here, you will find an outline of tips that you should use in order to know your part in global warming. Apply the suggestions that are listed here, and send them to your friend, family, and coworkers. Pass it along to everyone you know so that we can all work together to save the world. 1) One of the first steps that you can take in order to prevent it is to make sure that you keep the tires on your vehicles properly inflated. If you allow your tires to be on the road and they are not properly inflated, you could produce hundreds of pounds of greenhouse gases each year. Greenhouse gases lead to the damage that global warming produces.
2) When shopping for groceries, do not allow yourself to walk away with plastic and paper bags.
Take a cloth bag to the store in order to carry your merchandise. By doing so, you are reducing the need to throw away the plastic bags and contribute to the global warming crisis.3) In each of our homes, we should try to find the lights that we use the most and then replace the bulbs with bulbs that are specifically designed to be energy efficient. This may cost more than a standard bulb, but it will prevent the damaging effects of it and reduce the amount that you pay on your electricity bill each month as well.
4) Many farms and farming equipment put harmful greenhouse gases into the atmosphere that lead to global warming. If you would like to prevent it, you should try to buy foods that are organic in nature. You may also consider growing your own food and buying the food that is grown in your area.
This reduces the gases that are released into the atmosphere and the gasoline that is required to ship food to your area.5) You may want to check the filter that your vehicle uses to circulate air every couple of months. If an air filter becomes congested and dirty, it will release nasty gases into the atmosphere that lead to global warming.
6) It is important that you try to use products that are recycled. If you do this, it will reduce the amount of waste in landfills and will also reduce the need to cut down more trees in the environment.
7) You can also prevent global warming by driving your vehicle less. You can carpool with others, or take a public transportation method. You may even consider buying a bicycle or walking to places that you wish to go. This is not only great for the environment, but great for your body as well!

Global Domains International
Global Domains International, Inc.,was founded in 1998 by Michael Starr and Alan Ezeir, the CEO and President. Mike and Alan were aware that in the mid 1990's, the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) assigned each nation a country code. These codes were designed to give each country an address to use for their own Internet needs. For instance, the United States was assigned .us, Australia .au, Ireland .ie.
(GDI) has the potential to become the largest direct sales/network marketing company in the world in terms of number of distributors and customers," says NMBJ, the Network Marketing Business Journal.
In the 2002 Special issue of Inc. magazine, GDI placed #37 on the Inc. 500 "List" of the USA's 500 fastest growing private companies and #5 in the state of California.
Michael Starr and Alan Ezeir, the CEO and President respectively of Global Domains International, Inc. (GDI), recognized another opportunity that was largely ignored; they wondered, "Besides dot com, are there other extensions that businesses could use as a domain name?"
Before you can start up a business any business — customers need to be able to find you. On the Internet, your address is your domain name; the part of an Internet address that comes after the www. With the unparalleled growth of the Internet, dot com domain names continue to sell like hotcakes. Currently, there are more than 80 million dot com domains, and over 100 million total domains registered worldwide. Industry experts forecast that more than 500 million domains will be registered in the next ten years. In fact, reliable sources from companies like Intel are predicting that every personal computer in the future will have its own domain name.
International Call Centers - Making Your Search Easy!
Do you still remember that your business started with a very few clients and all your business operations were handled personally? But with the flow of time, a commitment in your mission has taken you to a height from where you would never like to go back. Still, your business needs proper attention and you need to take care of the consumers that have been continuously coordinating with your strategy.
Now, if your business needs an international level business then it is always recommended that you start to hire a third party BPO service provider that provides all your requirements without disturbing the present profit graph. The following part will guide you how to outsource an international call center and in which manner you can invest your capital in safe hands.
Comprehensive research is a basic step to start the process.
The feedback from the customers can be a very crucial factor top judge the quality of services, an International call center provides. Customers can tell you the exact way in which methodology they streamlined their business activity. This is so far the best criteria to test the credibility to render contact center activities.
Cost is one important element that will determine your potential the level of services. There would be some companies whose demand may not match your budget and you might have to switch off that firm. The cost of the services would entirely depend upon the project duration and the efforts required fulfilling it within a deadline.
No matter your price factor may exceed your budget but make sure that the calling agents are giving the best services as per the standards of an international call center. Experience in the BPO industry is always counted on top but one thing, the use of technology equally contributes to the successful hiring of a global call center.
Global Warming Causes and Effects of Global Warming
Have at least occasionally broke concerns drastic climate changes, that are often not distinguish summer from winter, spring than autumn days and nights? I wonder how they do not reflect our mood, action, nauseate of mental, psycho-social condition of our overall health. Taking anything on a personal level though, the personal, its own environment?
Recent findings and actions to improve the ecological situation in the world-the greenhouse effect (ironically: positive enrichment of the tourist offer), alternative energy and purity, it should at least some time to engage and worry a little longer.
Can no automobile least one day a year, right now? Let's try.
Remember:
If one day a week is not used vehicles, all citizens will breathe cleaner air 13%. Vehicles emit harmful gases that are distorting the health of people, but damage and facades of buildings and monuments.
Due to the recession in emissions of greenhouse gases this year, suffered a decline in world strongest in the last four decades.
According to the analysis of the International Energy Agency (IEA), carbon dioxide (CO2) in the world, the most common environmentally harmful gas caused by fossil fuels, this year will fall by about 2.6%. The agency report states that there is hope that the world will use this fall to make the passage of economic growth with lower emissions of CO2. However, IEA is concerned about the possibility that this decline governments to use to justify their passivity."This decline in emissions and investments in fossil fuels would make sense only if the Copenhagen deals that investors will send a signal about the necessity of reducing emissions of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere," said chief economist the IEA, Fatih Birol;
Today, Eskimos enjoy the sun of 30 degrees Celsius.
In eskimskoto village, north of Canada, temperatures in August have reached precisely those values.Witness the 89 - year-old entrepreneurs Eddie, who has 40 - years ago to monitor developments in this area, melting ice, heat, etc.:
Before 40 years ice cover was 64 km away from the coast, and today only 128 km.
Real prediction: in the near future tourists will shun heated parts of Florida or Spain a peaceful Arctic without congestion, a pleasant 30 degrees and clear, cooler water in which to enjoy the beach. This is confirmed by research experts and footage Ice sat, which measures the melting of ice in the Arctic from space and shows that from 2004 - so by 2008 - MA, the ice cover has decreased by more than 60 centimeters. Every three days under water disappears one "Germany under the ice."
The analysis of experts showed that the Arctic instead of the end of this century already 30 years will remain without ice! Will happen to the flora and fauna, still do not know. The change will only be here, but in the flow of sea and fresh water. In the North Sea ice dojdatg some new species, while others will disappear.
Is Global Warming Real?
With the increase in population, more motor vehicles on the road and all of the greenhouse gasses floating up into the ozone, there must be an impact of some kind on the environment. Even if you do not believe global warming is real, the pollution, not to mention the chemicals we eat daily ( that's a topic I will discuss in another article) is a health hazard, but cleaning up the environment is not an impossible mission. It simply starts with a local goal, a little education and motivation to spread that goal.
One of the organizations I really admire is the National Wildlife Federation because NWF President Larry Schweiger goes above and beyond his call of duty to educate the public about global warming, energy conservation and protecting wildlife and our future on this planet. I have to admit that I once was skeptical about global warming, but after much research and especially after seeing "Inconvenient Truth" I believe it is necessary to reduce if not eliminate greenhouse gas and convert to other more natural energy sources.
No I do not believe Al Gore made that documentary for self interest.I believe he sincerely has a passion for educating people about the effects of green house gases. What is great about NWF is the wealth of information they provide at their website, http://www.nwf.org and they are non-political. They have a whole section for kids and you can order magazines such as "Ranger Rick" which includes ice experiments, how to attract backyard wildlife and more. NWF also has many photos of nature and wildlife to view and if you have kid artists in your house, they can enter their artwork and have it posted on the NWF web site.
It's way cool! Anyway, check it out and read a little about nature and global warming and check out some of the pictures. You can also read Larry's blog at http://nwf.blogs.com/nwf_view/.The reason I am posting this is because global warming has now entered the political arena and somehow I believe the majority of the U.S. population will not take it serious if it becomes nothing more than a debate between politicians trying to win a vote. On a positive note more people are aware of it thanks to politics and the media. Perhaps I and hundreds of thousands of others around the world are wrong, but I would rather take the necessary precautions and find out I was wrong in 20 years than do nothing and suffer the consequences.

Global Warming Myths
Today nuclear power race and global warming are one such two hot topics that can steer conversation from an unexpected corner. Everyone of us have heard of global warming before either in media or read it somewhere or were forced to read it during exams. Global warming is one most of the most discussed topics around the world. Although there are many scientific facts to prove certain truths about the global warming. Global warming is also one of the most misunderstood topics.
There are many popular Global warming myths
* Myth 1: Earths temperature is rising at alarming level.
Fact: This is the most commonly perceived Global warming myth. In reality the temperature is just increasing slightly not in alarming levels. There has been very solid evidence to prove that even the temperature of Earth was rising when Global warming and greenhouse effect was not an issue.
* Myth 2: Humans cause global warming.
Fact: This is the very popular Global warming myth that human beings are cause of global warming. Although human beings contribute very largely towards global warming but they are not the only reason for it. The changes were very radical from time to time. Temperature of earth has been on path of slight increase from time to time. The exact cause of global warming is still paves way for unending debates.
* Myth 3: Slight temperature increase will melt icecaps.
Fact: This is also one of the most commonly perceived Global warming myth .Winter related deaths are more than summer related deaths. In UK itself every year slight rise in temperature saves 200000 people from death. Although some glaciers have melt but in some other parts of world the ice caps are also thickening. So there is no hard core evidence to prove that the ice caps are continuously melting due to slight increase in temperature.
* Myth 4: Weather changes are related to human activities.
Fact: Extreme weather changes are related to solar activities. They are not related to any sort of human activities. Although increase in carbon dioxide levels will contribute towards slight changes in weather but extreme weather conditions cannot be caused solely by human activities.
* Myth 5: Population of Polar bears are dwindling due to Global warming.
Fact: Polar bears largely depend on ice sheets to swim and catch seals for food. So melting of the ice sheets will dwindle seals so Polar bears have to swim to long distances to hunt for them. But that does not mean that Polar bear population is dwindling.
* Myth 6: Climate changes are causing increase in sea level.
Fact: Another widely circulated Global warming myth is that increase in sea level is due to Climate changes brought out by Global warming. But in reality the increase in sea level is due to interglacial periods. Changes are part of nature so the sea levels will continue to increase even if there are no climate changes.
* Myth 7: There are no perfect Computer models which predict Global warming.
Fact: Many of the debates regarding Global warming arises from Computer circulated models.
But in fact these computer models are widely used by scientists and meteorologists to predict weather. Although these computer models are not accurate or perfect but still they have moderately high success rates.

An Overview About Global Warming
You must believe that global warming is now a fact.
The US National Climatic Data Center declared that 2001 was the second year on record and it was 23rd chorological year of higher than normal temperatures. Most problems may be the fact of the increasing rate of the temperature. In addition, insurer Munich Re released the data which states that the numbers of people dying of natural disaster in 2001 were twice as many as in 2002 and insured losses grew up more than 50%. It is estimated by UNEP that the extra economic costs of disasters attributable to global warming are running at more than 0 billion annually.
Some 180 countries are proceeding toward an expected ratification of the Kyoto Protocol by the end of this year. Of the six gases it will control CO2 is by far the largest contributing nearly 90% of the global warming impact. The primary source of CO2 is the burning of fossil fuels. Therefore the focus on energy will continue to increase.
Throughout the world different methods are being used to encourage reduced energy use. Japan has enacted the Energy Conservation Law in 1999 mandating huge efficiency improvements by 2004 for nearly all air conditioning products. The U.S. has revised ASHRAE Standard 90.1 for buildings to raise the minimum COP level for centrifugal chillers from the current value of 5.2 to 6.1 effective in October 2001. DOE and Green Seal have revised their recommended efficiency levels to an even higher level of 6.27.
Some countries use laws. Others use codes and standards. An increasing number of countries are using environmental costing which increases the price of energy thereby increasing the financial attractiveness of high efficiency products. European countries have been using such "carbon taxes" for more than a decade. However a rapidly growing trend in developing countries is the reduction of subsidies to energy industries "so prices more accurately reflect environmental impacts" according to OECD's Environmental Strategy for the First Decade of the 21st Century.
China has shown leadership by reducing subsidies to the coal industry from .5 billion in 1990 to billion in 1996 resulting in 7% emissions reduction while seeing a solid economic growth of 36%! China is now moving aggressively into environmental costing with the just announced (1/13/2002) 5-year environmental plan that commits 700 billion yuan ( billion) to help protect the environment. The government will provide the fist 65 billion yuan to initiate the project but will apply the "polluter pays" principle for the rest. The "environmental protection authorities will collect funds from the pollution-producing companies". The impact on the price of energy is not known at this time. However it is clear that the addition of environmental costing will increase energy prices. According to a European Research Commission Report of July 2001 "The cost of producing electricity from coal or oil would double if costs such as damage to the environment and health were taken into account".
The global movement to high efficiency is accelerating just like the rate of temperature increase. But this is not all that is changing. This second environmental threat of global warming is making it clear that we need to give combined consideration to ozone depletion and global warming. But more important is the need to focus on the real issue which is the total environmental impact not address each individual environmental threat in isolation. This includes the concept of environmental risk exposure, which recognizes that there are other environmental threats that are less well understood today. However, there are "no regrets" decisions we can make today (such as minimum refrigerant charge, minimum atmospheric life refrigerants, etc.) to minimize these risks.
Combined consideration would place more emphasis on reducing the use of CFCs, which are still being produced in developing countries until 2010 in accordance with the Montreal Protocol. Little attention is being given the large contribution to global warming from CFCs. Actions which cause confusion and delay the phaseout of CFCs cause increased environmental damage rather than lessening the environmental impact.
The other rapidly changing factor in the HVAC industry is the shift to becoming a hermetic industry, where refrigerant is contained throughout the life of a chiller and recycled for further use when the chiller is replaced. This simple understanding that "if it doesn't get into the environment it does no harm" is a powerful argument, which will lead to the continued use of the most efficient refrigerants in such closed hermetic applications as chillers. In just 15 years annual refrigerants emissions from chillers have been reduced from 25% to well below 1% today. This defines a whole different world than that which existed when the Montreal Protocol was crafted some 15 years ago.
But perhaps the most important change coming to our industry is the realization that there are no new or "perfect" refrigerants waiting to be discovered. There are eight elements that can be combined for use in a vapor compression cycle. All feasible combinations of these eight have been evaluated. The reality is "what we have now is all there is".
This recognition is why we are now seeing a shift from the search for a perfect refrigerant to a search for the right refrigerant(s) for the right application. Said another way, the highest efficiency refrigerants for the lowest emissions applications. Many in our industry call this "Responsible Use".
Global Warming
Global warming is a popular term used to describe the increase in average global temperatures of the earth due to the greenhouse gases effect, resulting in an increase in the volume of water which contributes to sea-level rise. Greenhouse gases occur by increasing of gas emissions. Increasing of gas emissions is caused by human activities such as burning coal, oil and natural gas. This releases CO2, Methane and other greenhouse gasses to atmosphere.
As we know more than 200 leading climate scientists have warned the United Nations Climate Conference (In Bali) of the need to act immediately to cut greenhouse gas emissions, with a window of only 10-15 years for global emissions to peak and decline, and a goal of at least a 50 per cent reduction by 2050. The side effect of global warming are increasing sea-levels caused by increasing the volume of water as mentioned before, causing by temperature heat make glacier retreat, arctic shrinkage, and altered patterns of agriculture are cited as direct consequences.
As predicted by scientist for secondary and regional effects include extreme weather events, an expansion of tropical diseases, changes in the timing of seasonal patterns in ecosystems, and drastic economic impact. As this problem caused by human activities so to prevent this things to be worse is start from our self. Begin from reducing the level of certain gases that enter our atmosphere and caused devastating changes to our world, watch how much fuel that we use in vehicles and other fuel powered machines. Encourage to stop illegal logging and give some education to people to plants for reforestation. The critical reductions in global emissions of greenhouse gases and the atmospheric stabilization target highlighted in the Bali Declaration places a tremendous responsibility on the Bali United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
Negotiations at Bali must start the process of reaching a new global agreement that sets strong and binding targets and includes the vast majority of the nations of the world. Now let us fight together to stop global warming for better life.Global Warming? Pah!
So global warming, eh? It's coming and it's coming fast. Lock up your daughters and put out the cat for that one last night. Global warming, and the end of the earth, is nigh and we are all to blame.
But, hold for one moment. Yes, there are eminent scientists telling us that we are the cause of this global catastrophe and that, whatever we do, it will happen and will devastate the earth and all that live on it.
But there are conflicting views too, and they hold equal import. Some extremely eminent people (scientists no less) have put forward opposing views on the subject of global warming, the greenhouse effect and man's contribution to it all.
The argument goes something like this: the earth has warmed and cooled several times in its long history. Even before man arrived on the scene there were times that the earth was very hot and other times when it was very cold.
The life that was around at that time (the distant relatives of plankton) had no use for cars, televisions or other energy-guzzling accoutrements. They were simple creatures without arms, legs or a brain. Yet the earth still warmed up.And the fuss about carbon dioxide emissions is all bunkum, according to some clever scientists. It can be argued, for example, that warming causes carbon retention in the atmosphere rather than the other way round. So there. All the fuss is about nothing and, whatever happens to the earth, there is precious little that you, I or anyone else can do about it.
It is an interesting side to the hackneyed argument concerning global warming. My opinion? - well it hardly counts in the grand scheme of things. Yet, man IS now on the earth and man IS contributing to pollution and man IS important for the longevity of the world.
So I say, play safe and do something before it is too late.Find More Global Warming International Center Articles

Today the main topic of every field in world is Global Warming. Most of the medias are trying to give awareness about global warming, what kind of affects could be happen by that and what can we do to stop them. Global warming is something that planet earth needs for the natural existence. Without global warming earth could be a very cold place. Everywhere in earth will be like Antarctica. So we cannot stop this scientific incident. We can only control it in the correct range that is safe for every living being on the planet.
The scientific reason for global warming is explained according to a universal phenomenon called the green house effect. Most people know about this scientific explanation but don't know about the invention or the inventor.
Charles David Keeling is the scientist who explained about the environmental scientific basis of the global warming at the first place.
In 1958 he set up an instrument called Manometer a devise which can measure the gnarliest green house gas of all; carbon dioxide (CO2). Then for a year he took daily measurements of atmospheric carbon dioxide at Mauna Loa, Hawaii, where he set up his manometer. After that he made a graph using his readings. He found the CO2 level in summer has decreased and in winter it has increased. It was because; in the summer plants are grown and full of leaves. Through a reaction series called photo reaction and dark reaction CO2 is turned in to carbohydrates, amino acids and lipids inside the chloroplast in the leaves. This process is well known as the Photosynthesis. So if there are many leaves they can absorb extra CO2 and then the CO2 level has decreased. That's the reason for calling plants as CO2 sinks. In the winter leaves have fallen and the photosynthesis is not going so well. So the CO2 level has increased because less amount of CO2 has been consumed. He called this as the Annual Cycle of atmospheric carbon dioxide
Keeling was fascinated from this discovery and continued his researches for another three decades and took daily measurements. After he graphed all his readings he was bemused from what he has found. He noticed that the high CO2 concentration in winter is increasing annually and the low CO2 concentration in the summer is also increasing annually. After analyzing all his data, he found that the CO2 concentration in the atmosphere is increasing and let the world know this. The graph that Keeling made from his readings is now famous as the "Keeling Curve".
In 2004 British Antarctic Survey team known as the "BAS" did a research based on Antarctic ice cap. They drilled the ice cap about 3 kilometers and took samples of the ice core. The oldest layers among those samples were about 650,000 years old. Then they analyze the air bubbles which had been trapped inside the frozen ice. After these analyses they found that CO2 concentration has increased from 27% in past 650,000 years. They also found the slow increase of CO2 concentration through past 650,000 years, when it took us modern day humans just 17 years to cause the same kind of increase. Again the connection between CO2 and global warming has proved.
The latest calculations shows that CO2 is the main green house gas (GHG) and its involvement for global warming is about 85%. The main source of this CO2 is burning fossil fuels. Daily 100 million tons of CO2 is released to atmosphere by human activities. So how could a world like this make statement about carbon neutralization? Through the way to conventions authorities should be more practical. Otherwise world would have no good but more Carbon Disasters.
An Obvious Phenomenon for Global Warming : Whale Meetings
Experts discovered an special phenomenon that whale pods are beginning to meet up with other groups, from which they have been separated for thousands of years , in the Northwest Passage, north of Canada . To a very great extent , the reason is that global warming gradually decreases the amount of ice covering seas around the North Pole.
Biologists say that they were able to find bowhead pods mingling together in these freezing waters, but added that the larger groups were made up of members from both sides of the Canadian High Arctic regions, which is very uncommon.
Usually, the routes now traveled by the whales are sealed off by floating ices throughout the years. In recent years, however, warmer temperatures at the poles have constantly eroded these obstacles, to the point that they are now completely gone.
This new study was led by a team of scientists at the Greenland Institute of Natural Resources (GINR), which was coordinated by researcher Mads Peter Heide-Jørgensen.
This group is the first to establish for certain that bowhead whale populations indeed mingle in the Northwestern Passage. In order to gain some perspective, it is important to note here that the US National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSDIC) announced a few days ago that Arctic sea ice extents had a reach a minimum low for 2011, the second-lowest in recorded satellite history.
This may have had something to do with new meetings the whales have been having. Details of the new study were published in the September 21 online issue of the esteemed journal Biology Letters.
Until 2009, satellite tags attached to these whales had indicated that the animals indeed attempted to foray into the Northwestern Passage, but that the thick ices had eventually blocked their paths.
In 2010, data indicated that the obstacles were gone, LiveScience reports. In August 2010, radio tags revealed that two male bowhead whales had made their way into the Passage, one from Greenland, and another one from Alaska. By that time, sea ice extents had reached their minimum for the year.
Now we our enjoy our life with different high-tech products and software, such as ipad, iphone, free drm removal software , psp, video converter, youtube downloader , wmv drm remover, etc. Our life is more and more comfortable, but we can’t destory our environment, We should take some activities to protect our environment and protect nature . these animals have made warning sign for us.
Global Warming - Iceberg Four Times The Size Of Manhattan
Still, no one can deny that today, after the big break, Greenland's Petermann glacier is the smallest it has been since 1962. As sea levels continue to rise and ice sheets advance in the Arctic, it is becoming more and more difficult to claim man made global warming is a myth.
Ice sheets, or icebergs, common in the south or north poles on the globe, are large masses of glacier ice covering the surface of the earth. Once ice sheets lose mass due to global warming, giant chunks of ice begin floating in the sea. The term, "tip of the iceberg", was coined to describe the fact that the greater mass of the iceberg is submerged and only a small portion of it is showing above sea level. This might also explain how the crew aboard the Titanic managed to miss one...
The B15 iceberg
The B15 iceberg is noted as being one of the largest icebergs to date. Breaking off from ice shelves in Antarctica on March 2000, it was reported to be larger in size than Jamaica. The iceberg broke into chunks in 200, 2002 and 2003. The largest chunk that broke of it is B15-A, which drifted away into the open sea, 70 Km away from the Drygalski ice tongue, blocking supply routes to Antarctica and causing penguin colonies to starve.
Monitoring Ice Breakages
Founded in 1914, after the Titanic tragedy, The International Ice Patrol monitors ice breakages, tracking the glacier chunks and making sure that further tragedies are avoided as much as possible. As technology progresses, this type of surveillance becomes easier. Yet, as climate changes become chronic, ice breaks, along with rising sea levels, are evolving into an environmental hazard. Fingers are pointed at global warming and greenhouse gasses emitted from industrial plants, cars and other man made menaces.
Global Energy (GEYI:OB) Inc. has made its primary goal to reduce gas emission. With its KDV technology, turning waste into high quality mineral diesel oil, it hopes to help change the future, reducing global warming and maintaining glaciers intact.

Concern About Global Warming
In the last thirty years, global warming seemed to be a joke.
People talked about it as ironic words as "tree hugers" or simply "freaks". Signs of global warming were often ignored. Nowadays, the situation has changed.
Global warming is no longer a joke. Instead, it is a very serious, very active threat that is taken more and more seriously. Because the signs can no longer be ignored. Heat waves, hurricanes, blizzards, melting ice caps, floods, droughts, freak storms. All of these are obvious signs. Signs, that something is different. Signs, that something is wrong.
Science is now proving what "tree hugers" and "freaks" have been saying for the last few decades - something must be changed or the world as we know it will come to an end! And doing something, anything, is extremely important. Each person can contribute to reducing global warming. By making small, individual changes, we can make a difference. It does not matter where and how do you make a change. You can use public transport instead of your own car, you can use solar cells instead of usual electricity power, you can also tell people about global warming and help others to understand it and many more.
But taking the first step can sometimes be daunting. One simply doesn't know where to start. A good place to do so is the GWboard.com community. Full of friendly, educated users, willing to help, http://www.gwboard.com/ is the place to visit if you plan to reduce your "contribution" to global warming.
